About State PAL

IWPR’s new State Policy Action Lab—State PAL—connects policy with data to drive evidence-informed legislation that advances women across all 50 states and Washington, DC.

In recent years, state houses are where women have seen the biggest legislative victories on issues like pay equity and paid leave. They are also where key fights to protect health care access, reproductive autonomy, and other essential freedoms are being waged. We believe that data-driven, evidence-informed state policy solutions are critical for achieving gender equity.

On State PAL, you can engage with IWPR’s cutting-edge research like never before by interacting with the new and improved Status of Women data dashboard, drawing connections to state policy solutions, and tracking state legislative developments—all in one place!

Track the status of women in their states in all four areas of IWPR’s research:

State Legislative Tracking

Follow state-specific legislation as it moves throughout state houses across the nation, or explore by issue for a national landscape of policy developments.
